1. Myth: Diabetes is not serious
Fact: people who are ignoring the diabetes will face serious health problems in the future. Diabetes is responsible for many deaths each year. 3.4 million people died in 2004 because of diabetes, according to WHO figures. WHO expects that number will double among 2005-2030. Therefore should be dealt with diabetes seriously.
2. Myth: If you suffer from overweight or obesity, in the end will injury in diabetes
Fact: Not necessarily all fat people, Must get diabetes. There are obese but do not have diabetes and there are people who are not obese, but they have diabetes. Yes. Obesity is the most important factors of diabetes, but not the only factor. There are many other factors contribute to diabetes, such as family history, race and age.
3. Myth: While I feel in good health , so do not think I have diabetes
Fact : Diabetes is called the silent killer. A lot of people are living with diabetes .But they do not know. You should work regular medical tests to make sure you enjoy good health. Diabetes causes many diseases, including heart attack, stroke, eye problems can lead to difficulty in seeing or blindness, nerve damage, kidney problems that can cause kidney failure, gum disease and tooth loss.
4. Myth: Diabetics must not eat sweets at all
Fact: Diabetic patients take their own food according to program designed by the dietitian or doctor . This program is characterized in selecting the appropriate foods and amounts appropriate to the patient. These include meals, something few of the candy.
5. Myth: Diabetics are more susceptible to the common cold and other diseases than others.
Fact: Diabetes does not increase the risk of a cold or other illness. But diabetic patients should take the flu vaccine. To avoid the impact of other diseases at the level of blood sugar.

6. Myth: Patients cannot trim their nails from diabetes
Fact: Diabetes patients can nail care. But the nails should be cut properly. Do not cut nails as curved on both sides. Do not cut nails too much. If it is difficult for you to take care of your nails, you should seek assistance from an expert foot. The purpose of nail care to avoid any injuries and infections.
7. Myth: Taking doses of insulin by diabetes type-2. Means the failure of previous efforts to control the blood sugar level.

8. Myth: Since the fruit healthy food. The diabetic patient can eats what he wants from the fruit.
Fact: It is true that fruit healthy food. Because it feeds the body in fiber, vitamins and minerals. But they contain carbohydrates. Therefore, diabetics should be eating according to the recommendations of dietitian.
9. Myth: While diabetic patient takes the medicine. He does not need to exercise
Fact: Exercise plays a very important role in the management of type two diabetes. When combined with the diet, sports, and medicine will be able to control their weight, and the level of sugar in the blood. Exercises help to:
? Improve the body's use of insulin.
? Burn excess fat in the body. Weight reduction helps to improve insulin sensitivity.
? Improve muscle strength .
? Increase bone density and strength .
? Lower blood pressure .
? Improve circulation and reduce the risk of heart disease.
? Reduce stress, promote relaxation, stress and anxiety.
